Kareem Lanier

(In the September issue of the NMN (the official world and US publication for
masters track and field, long distance running and racewalking), Kyle and I
are on the following pages: 2 and 8 (Kareem's photo),10 and 16 (Kyle's photo). We
are recognized for winning 4 national masters titles: Kyle in the 800 and 1500
meters and  for me winning the 5000 and 10,000 meters)

Congratulations to Kareem for winning two national titles at the recent Masters National Track and Field Championships. We at TEAM ARUBA are very proud to be affiliated with such a great example.

9/3/05 - I competed in the Potomac Valley Games in McLean, Va. I competed in
the 5000 meter run and took 1st overall in the race and in my age
group(30-34) in a time of 15:54.53. I also set a new meet record for 30-34
breaking my old of 15:56.70. This was my last track meet of the year.

8/28/05-Mid-Atlantic 10k road race championship was held in Stone Harbor,NJ.
It was hot,humid and cloudy condition. I managed to take 5th overall and 2nd
in the 30-34 age group in a time of 34:04. It was difficult b/c I took off
for 10 days after the national masters track and field championships in
Hawaii.

8/27/05 - In the Mid-Atlantic 10k road race championships in Stone Harbor, NJ, I
took 6th overall in a time of 34:04

8-4/7-05 - I won two national masters outdoor titles for 30-34 in the
5000(16:33.38) and 10,000 meters (34:02.21). The National Masters Outdoor
Championships were held in Honolulu, Hawaii.

8/04-07/05-In Honolulu,Hawaii,the National Masters Outdoor Track and Field
Championships were held.I won two national masters outdoor track and field
championships in the 5k for 30-34(16:33.38) and 10k in a winning time of
34:02.21 for 30-34. These are my first two national outdoor titles that I
won on any level.Thank you ArubaSport for your support.

On Aug.4th-7th,I competed in the National Masters Outdoor Champships in
Honolulu,Hawaii. On Aug.4th,I won the 5000 meters in hot,humid,and windy
conditions in a time of 16:33.38 for 30-34 year olds. On Aug.7th, I competed
in the 10,000 meters in the same weather conditions and won the event in a
time 34:02.21. These were my first two national outdoor titles @ any level
and 4 national titles(2 indoor titles-mile & 3000 meters) for the track
season. My next and final track meet is the Potomac Valley Games in
McLean,Va on Sept.3rd-4th. I will be competing in the 5000 meters so I can
better my season best of 15:47.86 done @ National Club Championship on July
19th. Finally,I want to thank everyone @ Aruba Sports for their support.

I won the 2005 National Masters Outdoor T&F champion for 30-34 in the 5000
meter run(16:33.38) and 10,000 meters in 34:02.21. The meet was held in
Honolulu,Hawaii @the University of Hawaii on August 4th-7th.

7/17/05-I competed in the USATF East Regional Masters T&F Championships in
Denver,Pa @ Cocalico High School. I won the 1500 meter run and also my age
group(30-34) in a time of 4:15.54. In addition,I made All American in my age
group(30-34) in this event. My next track meet is on 7/24. It is the USATF
Mid-Atlantic Open and Masters T&F Championships @ Plymouth Meeting,Pa @
Plymouth Whitemarsh High School.

7/12/05-Tuesday night-Philadelphia Masters All Comers T&F Meet-I took 2nd
overall in the 3000 meter run in a time of 9:12.4. I made All American
standard for 30-34 in the 3000 meter run. My next track meet is USATF
National Club T&F Championship on Friday night. I will be competing in the
5000 meter run and competing for Pike Creek Valley R.C.

7/2/05-USATF East Region Open & Club T&F Championships-running for Pike
Creek Valley R.C. in the 10,000 meter run (1st overall in 33:53.70 and
scored 10 points in the club scoring)


6/26/05- Kareem competed in the Freedom Run 5k road race in National
Park,NJ. winning the race in a time of 16:05 and set a new course record. Way to Go Kareem!!!


I competed on 6/18/05 in Tim Harmon 5k road race in Fairfax,Va. I placed 5th
overall and 1st overall in the 30-34 age group in a time of 16:15.
