
Kyle Lanier

masters track and field, long distance running and racewalking), Kyle and I

are recognized for winning 4 national masters titles: Kyle in the 800 and 1500
meters and for me winning the 5000 and 10,000 meters)
Congratulations to Kyle for winning not one, but two national titles at the recent Masters National Track and Field Championships. We at TEAM ARUBA are very proud to be affiliated with such a great athlete. Here is Kyle's report..
At the Masters National Track and Field Championships in Honolulu, Hawaii (8/4-7/05). I won two national titles (800m - 2:03.44 and 1500m - 4:14.47, 30 to 34 age group) and 4th place finish in the 400m (53.92, 30 to 34 age group). I'm happy with the results and I was able to defend my 1500m title and earn A ll - American status in the event also. I scored 19 pts for my club (Pike Valley Creek) in the championships. Once again I want to thank everyone for their support and my next race is a regional track (Potomac Valley Track and Field Games in Langley, Va). Where I will be competing in the 800m and try and break the age group record (30 to 34 - 1:59).
At the Potomac Valley Games (9/3 and 4/05) in Langley, Va. I (Kyle)
competed in the 800m and won overall but missed out on the meet record for
30 to 34 age group. I ran 2:03.10 and my next race is 9/24 in Georgetown,
De (Stockley Stride 5k). Where I hold the current course record there since
1999.
Hi Everyone. My next track meet is the big one. The Master's National
Championships in Honolulu, Hawaii is be held on the weekend of 8/4-7/05.
I'll be competing in the 400m, 800m and 1500m (30 to 34 age group). The
first time in my 26years, I'm going to run short to middle distances in a
major meet. I'll be competing for Pike Creek Valley Running Club and
wearing ArubaSports sunglasses on my face :). I want to thank everyone for

7/10 - Today was the Masters Outdoor NJ Track and Field Championships in
West Long Branch, NJ. I ran the 1500m in a time of 4:19.6. Scoring
an overall victory (NJ Masters Champion of NJ)and getting all- american
status in the 30 to 34 age group. My next race is in NY, NY, the National
Club Championships 7/15 and 16. I'm going to be competing in the 800m.
7/2/05 - Winning heat #2 in the 800m in a time of 1:59.90 at the USATF East
Region Open and Club Track and Field Championships placed me 8th overall in
the meet. Giving me all - american status for the 30 to 34 age group in the
800m and PR so far for the season.
7/3/05 - Winning overall in the 1500m
with a time of 4:22.20 at USATF NJ All - Comers Track Meet. I just missed
the all - american status in this event but I'll try it again next week.
Both meets were held at Richard Stockton State University in Pomona, NJ.
Next Sunday I'm competing in USATF NJ Masters Outdoor Track and Field
Championships held in West Long Branch, NJ.
4-18-05 :: Kyle competed in a road race (Azalea Classic 5k) down in
University Park,Md. and placed 2nd overall in a time of 16:34
5-29-05 :: Langley, Va. It was a developmental track
meet put on by Potomac Valley Track Club. I ran the 3000m in a time of
9:38.9. I was 1st overall and just missing all - american status. This is
a tune up for Saturday's race in Moorestown, NJ 8k.
The Mid-Atlantic 8k road race championship (Moorestown Rotary 8k) were held
in Moorestown,NJ. The race condition were warm and the roads were slick. I
took 2nd overall in a time of 26:29 and 1st in my age group (30-34). The next
event is the Philadelphia Masters Outdoor track meet at Plymouth Meeting,Pa
on Tuesday night.
